Common Questions

Quick answers - Click for full FAQ

Why was he banned?

StefanDotA was banned after a legendary Huskar game against two Top 100 players (Koma and Analog). His plays were so clean and dominant that they believed he must be smurfing or cheating. Mass reports from Koma and his viewership led to an automatic ban for "smurfing" - despite StefanDotA being a legitimate high-MMR player at 13,000 MMR.

Why create a new account?

Instead of fighting the ban through appeals, StefanDotA saw an opportunity. The ban became the catalyst for something bigger: The hardest challenge in Dota 2 history. Climbing from 0 to 15,000 MMR and Top 100 EU in less than a year. Sometimes setbacks become setups for something legendary.

When does he stream?

StefanDotA streams daily starting at 21:00 CET (9:00 PM Central European Time) and typically streams until around 7:00 AM CET. This schedule allows for maximum grinding during EU prime hours. Follow on Twitch to get notified when the stream goes live.

How can I support?

You can support by following on Twitch, engaging in chat, sharing the stream with friends, and if you'd like to contribute financially, donations via Streamlabs go toward upgrading equipment (better PC for higher quality streams). Every follow and view helps grow the community around this historic Dota 2 challenge.

About StefanDotA

Macedonian Professional Dota 2 Player

The Player Behind The Journey

StefanDotA is an 18-year-old Macedonian professional Dota 2 player, born in 2008. Before the ban, he reached 13,000 MMR - a testament to his skill and dedication to the game.

His main role is Position 2 (Mid Lane), where he dominates with exceptional mechanical skill, game sense, and an aggressive playstyle that leaves opponents questioning whether he's smurfing or cheating.

Stefan's journey with Dota began at an incredibly young age, taught by his two brothers who introduced him to Dota 1 back in 2013. What started as a childhood hobby has evolved into a professional pursuit of greatness.

The Path to Pro

2013

Early Beginnings

Started playing Dota 1 at just 5 years old, taught by his two brothers. The foundation of a future pro player was laid.

2013-2016

The Upgrade

Brothers brought a new, better PC and monitor. StefanDotA started playing and developing Dota 2 as a hobby, transitioning from Dota 1.

2013-2021

Balancing Act

Regularly played Dota with breaks to focus on school and other responsibilities. MMR ranged between 4,000-7,000 during this period.

2023-2026

The Grind Begins

Started taking Dota seriously. Watched countless YouTube videos, paid for GameLeap, hired 1-on-1 coaches, analyzed replays, and constantly followed the meta. The evolution into a pro player accelerated.

Professional Experience

StefanDotA played for a Russian team and was promised a bootcamp in June 2025. He was scrimming against top-tier teams and everything was going well, until the team unfortunately disbanded. Shortly after, a French team called him to play TI qualifiers.

The TI Qualifiers Experience

At TI Qualifiers, StefanDotA faced hard matchups on mid lane against Winter Bear. He played against Mikey on mid - a matchup that seemed doomed from the start.

Mikey got last pick Monkey King against StefanDotA's Kunkka

Despite the difficult matchup, StefanDotA managed to win his mid lane. However, the team lost the game because they were playing for fun and didn't take Dota seriously (and weren't very high-skilled players).

That moment changed everything. Stefan felt something he couldn't ignore: "I FEEL THIS. I know I can do it." Since that moment, he started playing even more seriously, with unwavering belief in his potential.

Reaching 13K

Through relentless grinding, professional coaching, and an unbreakable mindset, StefanDotA reached 13,000 MMR in 2026. He was playing constantly, improving every day, establishing himself as one of the elite players in Europe.

April 20, 2026 - The Ban

Stefan woke up to check his stream summary before heading to school. Instead of stats, he received a message from Steam Support that would change everything:

"Your account is permanently banned from Dota 2"

StefanDotA was shocked. He tried to contact Valve and appeal the ban, writing a detailed paragraph for over an hour explaining the situation. Instead of an actual response, he received an automated message:

"Dota 2 team is not responding to game bans. Check your Steam account daily to see if you are unbanned."

StefanDotA realized that Valve and the Dota team don't care about unbanning people with smurfing bans. But where others saw a dead end, Stefan saw an opportunity.

The Journey

From banned to legendary - The complete story

The Beginning

April 20, 2026. StefanDotA started streaming on a whim. No expectations, no grand plan - just a high-level Position 2 player showing off his skills at 13,000 MMR. The main heroes were Invoker, Beastmaster, Queen of Pain, Ember Spirit, and Storm Spirit.

Just another stream in the sea of Dota 2 content. Until one fateful match changed everything.

The Huskar Game

It was a regular high-MMR match. StefanDotA locked in Huskar. Across the battlefield stood two of Europe's recognized players - Koma and Analog, both Top 100 professional players and streamers.

What followed was domination. Pure, unfiltered dominance. StefanDotA's plays were so clean, so precise, so mechanically perfect that the enemy team couldn't comprehend what was happening. His game sense was on another level.

His plays were so clean, that they thought he was cheating? Or smurfing? Or both? Players were so unsure. The accusations started flying in all-chat. The reports started pouring in.

The Ban & The Raid

Mass reported by Koma and his entire viewership, StefanDotA's account was automatically banned for "smurfing." The irony? He wasn't smurfing - he was just that good. The ban was the ultimate compliment wrapped in injustice.

But fate works in mysterious ways. On StefanDotA's team that game was Xibbe, a famous Twitch streamer. Witnessing the legendary performance, Xibbe decided to raid StefanDotA's channel with 200+ viewers.

The Challenge Is Set

That raid, that recognition, that moment of validation - it ignited something. StefanDotA made a decision: instead of appealing the ban, he would embrace the challenge.

A new account. Zero MMR. One goal: 15,000 MMR and Top 100 EU in less than a year. The hardest challenge in Dota 2 history.

Currently at 8,000 MMR with approximately 300 days remaining. Every game streamed live. Every victory and defeat documented. This is history in the making.
